What are veneers?

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain custom crafted to repair and improve damaged or unsightly teeth. Dr. Obiora E. Nkwonta, our practiced dentist, may suggest veneers as part of your personalized treatment plan to fix a wide variety of dental flaws, including:

  • Broken or chipped teeth
  • Teeth with stains or spots
  • Slightly misaligned teeth
  • Teeth separated by gaps
  • Irregularly shaped teeth
  • Teeth with large cracks

By utilizing dental veneers in Seattle, Washington, we can make simple repairs to a single tooth or completely transform your entire smile, depending on your individual needs and goals. It all begins with a cosmetic consultation with Dr. Obiora E. Nkwonta.

How are veneers made?

After it has been determined that veneers right for your smile, it generally only takes two appointments to compete the process. During the first, we will prepare your teeth and take molds and impressions to send to a dental laboratory, where your custom veneer is fabricated. While waiting for your veneers to come back, we will place temporary restorations if necessary. During your second appointment, we ensure the veneer fits properly and looks great with your smile before bonding it permanently into place with a special dental cement. When taken care of, dental veneers can last for up to ten years. To learn more about the transformative power of veneers, contact us at Lake City Way Dental Center today.
